What is there to do in the Floating City if you’re a child and winter has settled outside? Build a snow fortress, of course! One giant fortress for everyone, right in a specially designated area almost at the very heart of the city. Each year this space is cleared of all other buildings and structures to make room for the Festival of Ice Fortresses. Every child can contribute in their own way in order to create of the most magnificent winter structure. Anything comes in handy: ice blocks, snowballs, buckets of water, even all kinds of useful spells… On the last day of January the city administration evaluates the fortress on a 100-point scale, taking many factors into account — from durability and functionality to visual appeal. The current record stands at 84 points, but perhaps this year it will be beaten? Time will tell — and for now, let’s talk about the upcoming Weekend Events in Rise of Angels!
